A minimum 1.5 metres of clear space in front of the fireplace is required.

Children and Pets must be kept out of the working area at all times.

The Company accepts no liability for:

Pre-existing damage

Loose or defective pots, cowls, brickwork, linings, failed/corroded linings or structural faults.
-
In order to correctly and safely access the chimney flue, it may be necessary to remove fire bricks, baffles, throat plates, or other internal components from appliances or fireplaces. While every reasonable care is taken to mitigate the risk of damage, we cannot accept liability for any cracks, breaks, or damage to fire bricks or similar components that may occur during their removal or refitting, particularly where such components are already weakened by heat, age, or prior use.

If the chimney or appliance is in unsafe condition, the chimney sweep may refuse service until proper repairs have been made.

The Company cannot be held responsible for dislodged debris, bird nests, failed liners, or blockages that may cause damage when removed.

-
The sweep will take reasonable care to protect floors and furnishings using dust sheets and industry-standard methods.
-
While every effort is made to prevent soot escape, the Company is not responsible for minor dust settlement.
-
A chimney sweep certificate will be issued upon successful completion, unless sweeping is not possible due to safety concerns.
5. Nests & Blockages

Some nests may require multiple visits depending on their size and condition.
6. Smoke Evacuation Check
-
A smoke test may be carried out after sweeping to check for obvious defects.
-
This test does not guarantee the chimney is structurally sound or free from leaks.
-
If faults are detected, the Client should seek professional repairs or a full chimney inspection.
7. Pricing & Payments
-
Prices quoted are based on the information provided by the Client. Additional work may incur extra charges.
-
Payment is due immediately on completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
